The client builds financial infrastructure for large fintech companies. The building is a converted light industrial space. The brief was to make it work for six people with four distinct ways of working — without making it feel like an office fit-out.

Tom spent seven years at Carmody Groarke followed by five years at Haptic Architects. His background is in high-end residential work and interior construction documentation — the discipline of making beautiful spaces buildable, and ensuring the detail holds from drawing to handover.
Rachel Aldine and Tom Voss founded Aldine Voss in 2023. Between them they bring twenty-four years of experience across the most demanding residential and commercial practices in London. Every project is handled by them directly.
Good interiors do not choose between warmth and rigour. The best residential work has structure. The best commercial work feels inhabited. Most studios specialise in one or the other. Aldine Voss was founded on the belief that the combination is where the most interesting work happens.
Rachel's work is rooted in commercial space — the discipline of environments that have to perform, that have to hold up under daily use, that have to feel intentional without feeling precious.
Tom's work is rooted in the home — the slower, more personal practice of understanding how people actually inhabit a space. Neither discipline leads.
